Minister of state for Aviation, Hadi Sirika has said the Federal Government has concluded plans to set up an airline.
In a report by Reuters, the FG has appointed advisers to help it set up a national airline and develop its aviation infrastructure.

To this end, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo reportedly had approved 1.52 billion Naira ($4.99 million) of funding for the project, he added.
AMCON took over the single carrier, Arik Air, in February 2017 and has said it has no plans to convert Arik into a national carrier.
