Werder Bremen captain Thomas Delaney has spoken about his desire to play in England one day.

“I would like to play in the Premier League,” said the Danish midfielder.

Linked with Burnley during the summer, he joined Werder Bremen for €2million in January and now he is valued at around €15million.

Delaney, who is under contract with Bremen until 2021, joined the Bundesliga club last year from FC Copenhagen. He’s since blossomed in Germany, scoring five goals in his last three matches for club and country, and Spurs are in the “driving seat” to secure his services next year.
