Rice is an integral part of a Nigerian's diet and there are different ways of preparing it. The most common is white rice and stew. However, when the stew is done and the rice is still left over, what can you do to prevent waste?
With just a few ingredients, All Nigerian Recipes shows us how you can turn your white rice into a healthy, delicious milky pudding for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients
At least, 2 cups boiled white rice
3 sachets 16g Peak Instant Milk Powder
1 thumb piece ginger
3 cloves garlic
Pinch of salt
Sugar to your taste
1¼ cups of water
Instructions
1. Peel the ginger and the garlic, rinse and crush them. You can also use a mortar to pound them.
2. Pour some of the water to extract the juice. Then sieve.
3. Mix the 3 packs Peak Full Cream Instant Milk Powder with the ginger and garlic juice and the remaining water.
4. Put the leftover rice in a pot, pour the milk mixture into the rice.
5. Add salt and sugar.
6. Stir very well and start cooking on medium heat.
7. Stir it often and once it thickens, it is ready.
Your pudding is ready! Serve with plantains, bananas, akara, or anything you would with cereal.
