There are reports that Manchester United players Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial are not just opened to the idea but excited by the prospect of Zinedine Zidane succeeding Jose Mourinho as manager of the Red Devils.
While Daily Mail is reporting that the French legend has told friends that he expects to be offered the Manchester United job if Mourinho is sacked, Daily Telegraph gathers that the prospect of Zidane taking over ‘appeals’ to the duo of Pogba and Martial.
Trouble For Mourinho As Zidane Eyes Manchester United Job
Mourinho is facing the biggest test of his time in charge at United after a turbulent summer that has left him at odds with Old Trafford chief Ed Woodward and record signing Paul Pogba.
Pogba and Mourinho have had a number of run-ins, arguing over his performances and best position, while the midfielder has even sought a transfer away such is the toxicity of their relationship.

The 55-year-old now faces a crucial game at home to Tottenham on Monday night as he tries to prevent the current problems at United escalating into a full-blown crisis.
