'King of Boys' by Nigerian filmmaker makes N105M in box office

A source at Film One distribution hinted that 'King of Boys' hit a box office record of N160 million at its fifth weekend in cinemas.

Kemi Adetiba's 'King of Boys' is still the number one movie in the last five weeks after it made its entry into the cinemas.

'King of Boys', which is Adetiba's first feature film as a director and producer, has been breaking all the records that were broken by EbonyLife TV owned 'Wedding Party I' since its initial release date on October 26, 2018.

A source at Film One distribution hinted that 'King of Boys' hit a box office record of N160 million at its fifth weekend in cinemas.

Aiming to break 'Black Panther', 'Wedding Party I' records

The source further told Pulse that the movie looks good at making a total earning of over N200 million at the box office as well as equalling the records of 'Black Panther' and 'The Wedding Party 1'

"'King of Boys' might possibly retain number 1 for the 5th consecutive week. If it becomes number 1, it would have equalled 'Black Panther' and 'The Wedding Party' movies to be number for 6 consecutive weeks," the source dropped.

Kemi Adetiba shot EbonyLife's 'The Wedding Party', which grossed over N200 million at the cinemas and spent six weeks at the number 1 spot according to Film One ditribution.
